A Message From Our Founder

Winning Ourselves Over began in the fall of 2022 when I envisioned a retreat-based community rooted in holistic healing—a place where we move, we laugh, we connect, and yes, we eat. Magnificent meals, embracing the joie de vivre —a space that invites both connection and solitude. A place to step away from the constant noise of everyday life and take a pause, allowing you to be with yourself while surrounded by others who are also seeking to reconnect with their inner truth.

My own journey has been unfolding for many years, but stepping into single motherhood was the catalyst that deepened my exploration. Though personal growth has always been a priority, this period of change pushed me to reflect more deeply on how to reconnect with myself in a meaningful way. With 15 years of yoga practice and 12 years of teaching, I’ve learned a great deal along the way—but the last two years have been an even more intentional process of embracing and aligning with my truest self. During that time, ideas for this retreat came together, shaped by everything I’ve learned and experienced, and created as a space for others to explore their own path to inner connection.

I kept coming back to this question: What if we didn’t have to win others over, but instead turned inward to reclaim our own sense of worth? In a world that often rewards overextending ourselves in hopes of receiving validation, I’ve found that real transformation begins when we choose to invest in ourselves first. These retreats are a chance to step back, be still, and give yourself the space to reflect and heal, while connecting with a community that shares similar intentions.

Through my own path of deep introspection, I’ve learned to embrace the messy, imperfect process of self-discovery. It’s not about having all the answers—it’s about being open to the questions and trusting the process. Over the years, I’ve studied yoga, body awareness, psychology, music, energy, and astrology, piecing together an approach that blends intellectual exploration with heartfelt spiritual practice. And with this approach, alongside experienced guides, I invite you to join us this June.

This retreat isn’t about “fixing” anything—it’s about offering tools and support to help you explore, listen, and reconnect. It’s an opportunity to work together in community, to be inspired by one another’s growth, and to share in the journey toward truly winning yourself over. If you’re ready to take the next step in your own path, we’re here to support you.

ABOUT THE RETREAT

Winning Ourselves Over was born out of a simple, yet powerful idea: what if taking a pause from the hustle of daily life didn’t require long-distance travel or a hefty price tag? In a world where many wellness retreats are both expensive and far-flung, we wanted to create a space that was not only accessible but deeply rooted in healing, growth, and rejuvenation.

Ellie, our retreat coordinator and yoga instructor, was often asked by students if she knew of any retreats that were affordable, local, and truly focused on inner exploration—without the distractions of luxury or over-scheduling. Realizing that such a retreat didn’t exist, Ellie was inspired to step into this new space, curating an experience that blends healing practices from a variety of traditions.

At Winning Ourselves Over, we offer a truly holistic retreat experience designed to nourish both body and mind. From sound healing to vinyasa and yin yoga, tai chi and qi gong, breathwork, and movement circles, our diverse array of practices are designed to help you reconnect with yourself. Alongside these transformative activities, we offer hiking, journaling, and plenty of time for reflection, all while enjoying wholesome, delicious meals crafted by our on-site chef.

Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where you can reset, rejuvenate, and step back into life with a renewed sense of purpose, clarity, and peace.

Join us to win yourself over—because healing doesn’t have to be far away, expensive, or overwhelming. It can happen right here, where you are.
